I have to say, this is one of my favourite movies thus far. Pureflix can be notorious for not the highest production quality on some of their films, but this was the exception. It was a great production quality, great filming, great story, and great acting.
The title is exactly what the movie was about. Finding Faith in the moments when life throws you a bunch of curve balls… After so many, it feels as though you have been beat up and God is nowhere to be found. Some lose their faith in these trials and tribulations… Some just need time away, reflection, and the best of family and friends to drive you back to your roots and back to your faith.
This movie was filled with it all: drama, family, friends, faith, mercy, forgiveness, relinquishing of past hurts, a classic baptism in the family lake, and just a husband and wife trying to find their way back to each other again.
I won’t give too much away, because I really encourage you to watch this movie, but essentially it’s just your classic romance that isn’t your classic romance. It’s tone it much more mysterious with a kind of “coming of age” – or dare I say “coming of change and freedom in Christ” – type of style to it. A wife and husband find themselves torn apart from something that seems irreparable. Trust has been broke, love has been lost, and time has been stolen away as they harbour their pain, misery, and pride.
We tend to drift further away from God when we need Him most. But the BEST thing about Him, is that the second we turn back to Him, He is RIGHT THERE waiting for us with open arms. That’s my favourite thing about God, and my favourite thing about everyone’s testimony.
“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
