About Christian Author: A. C. McGuire

Hi, I’m A. C. McGuire

I’m a Canadian author of Christian nonfiction, poetry, and children’s books. I write to inspire, challenge, and encourage readers of all ages, blending personal experience, Scripture, and imagination. My goal is simple: to point others to the hope, grace, and love found in Jesus Christ, and to show that no matter how dark life may feel, God can redeem every part of our story.

My Journey

Most of my life, I didn’t know God. I claimed to be an atheist, and later searched for hope in crystals, reiki, yoga, and other New Age practices. But no matter what I tried, the darkness and depression remained.

Then God intervened. He pulled me out of the pit of despair, renewed my mind, and gave me a purpose beyond anything I could have imagined. From that moment, everything changed — my life, my heart, and my writing.

Before God, I wrote about darkness and pain. Now, I write to show how God saves from those very struggles. Every page, every poem, every children’s story is a reflection of His mercy and grace — a reminder that hope always has a name: Jesus.

My Writing

I’ve published 11 books in 5 years, with more on the way. My work spans:

  • Christian nonfiction — helping readers grow in faith and navigate life’s challenges

  • Poetry — exploring faith and hope, but also the human condition of grief and despair

  • Children’s books — sparking curiosity, imagination, and joy in young readers

No matter the genre, my goal is the same: to uplift, inspire, and point readers to God’s truth and unconditional love.

Life Today

I live in Canada with my husband and spend my days writing, reflecting, and seeking inspiration in God’s creation. My heart beats for stories — whether teaching, encouraging, or entertaining — that remind readers they are not alone and that God is always faithful.

Thanks for visiting my page. I pray that these words encourage your heart and point you to the One who saves.

There is always a fresh new page for a brand new story to say.

I think the person who came up with the quote “sticks and stone may break my bones but words will never hurt me” was an emotional manipulator who told this to his victims so they would accept his perverse tongue… And somehow it became a common saying of society; for parents to teach their kids. But why? Why are we teaching our kids that words mean nothing, when the BIBLE says quite the opposite? Ah, yes, because it’s a classic way of the world and Satan’s plan to teach people to sin and turn them against God…

I was just speaking to my husband about this, yesterday in fact. I think it is such an important time to reflect – not only as Christians, but as anybody in this world right now. Ask yourself:

What really matters to you?

What are your beliefs?

What are your values and morals?

And then: What are you waiting for?…

Even with the sun shining; even with all the lights on in the house; you are still consumed by the darkness. Because this type of darkness invades the soul, the heart, the mind. This type of darkness leaves you with not even a window to climb out of. It has buried you 6 feet under ground. And so you wallow in despair and self-pity and depression.

I know this type of darkness all too well…
