This world teaches us hustle, noise, self-love, self-will, and self-everything. But Jesus teaches us rest. Real rest. Holy rest. Rest that makes demons flee, anxiety wither and hearts return home (to Him).
Rest In The Lord was written from that sacred place — the moment I realized that rest is not weakness but worship. Rest is refusing to let the world’s chaos outrun God’s peace; choosing the Shepherd over the storm.

Imagine you’re climbing a mountain you’ve never climbed before. You start off excited as can be; but that excitement takes a sharp turn as you find yourself lost. You’re overtaken by anxiety and fear, and your mind won’t stop telling you you’re going to die up here all alone. You panic. And as the flight or fight mechanism kicks in, you flee the scene. You run and run and run – you have no idea where you’re going – but you still continue to run.

In this war-torn world, where the media has convinced us that the world is ending, we must stand firm in the truth of the gospel. The world is not ending, nor will the world ever end. The world in how we know it will end, but not the literal, physical being of the earth. For Heaven will come down and create a New Earth where Jesus reigns for all of eternity and where His children will live for all of eternity with Him.
As Christians, we are called to stand firm in our knowledge of the Word of God. We are called to preach His Word, not the ways of this world.
