“As Jesus was being led to be crucified, a large group followed Him, including women who were mourning and wailing. He said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ Then, ‘they will say to the mountains, Fall on us! and to the hills, Cover us!’ (Hosea 10:8)”
Luke 23:27-30
It’s interested to see this coming true. Jesus said those words so many years ago… Over two thousand years ago, and yet here we are. The time has come where women are saying, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’
Many women today believe that it is troublesome and a burden to have children.
This type of woman is motivated to get to the top of the business world, only to realize that the inner fulfillment one gets when achieving a goal never came. She came up empty – and emptier than before she began, for now she is passed her child bearing years and has missed her opportunity to have a family… Or so, this is what many women are coming to realize.
This inner desire to succeed in the working world is a desire that comes from the enemy. It is NOT a natural desire, for a woman’s natural desire is to get married and have babies – and lots of them! But the world has deceived us all. It has twisted out minds into believing that those natural instincts are oppressive to women.
To be a mother to God’s beloved children – to be able to bare His creation – is the biggest blessing of all.
When this true blessing is overlooked and believed to be evil, a form of depression will prevail among women… Which is why Jesus ends His prophecy with women wishing death upon themselves: “They will say to the mountains, Fall on us! and to the hills, Cover us!’ (Hosea 10:8)”
As a born-again woman of God my thoughts on being a woman and a mother have been renewed in God’s divine plan for us… For I too, at one point (when I was knee deep in feminism) believed that it was more blessed to be childless. But now, I rebuke that thought.
I pray that women find their true selves with the help of God and His Holy Spirit. I pray that women find the joy and completeness in being mothers to God’s children.
God knew what He was doing when He created man and woman. He gave us the natural desire to want to procreate and fill the earth. These natural desires are holy and good, for they came from Him.
Childless women are not blessed. Not only are their womb’s barren, but their heart’s are barren too. For as I said before: it is a woman’s natural instinct and desire to have babies. Without them, we are left empty, lost, and our heart’s begin to harden against the world and against God.
The claim that childless women are more blessed is straight from the devil.
Satan want women to believe that having babies is troublesome and a burden. He wants everyone to stop having babies… And I think I know why…
It means more work for him! For every soul that comes into this world he has to go to work, to try and turn them away from God.
More babies = more work for Satan.
So, let’s start giving him more work! Let’s raise up armies for God’s Kingdom!
