“If the care of a soul (or a community) be entrusted to me, and I consent to subject it to weakening influences, because the voice of the world — my immediate Christian world — fills my ears, then I know nothing of Calvary love.”
Amy Carmichael, IF
In a world that is moving closer and closer to the devil and utter chaos… Christians need to shine the light of Jesus unto the world. We must be the peace in the struggle. We must be the TRUTH in the lies. We must not sugar coat, nor bend the rules of God, nor be in companionship with the world of the people of it just to be inclusive or liked by others.
In this perverse world of such evil, Christians are expected to “not conform to the ways of the world.” (Romans 12:2) We are called to “be transformed by the renewing of our mind” (Romans 12:2) WITH GOD’S WORD, not the words of this world.
“If anyone causes one of these little ones — those who believe in me — to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!”
Matthew 18:6-7
I pray we not undermine Christianity, nor try to make it inclusive all in the name of “kindness.”
God calls us to be TRUTHFUL and kind, not kind and LIARS.
Feeding into the ways of this world won’t lead anyone to Jesus Christ, it will only lead them closer to Satan.
For when Satan tells his lies, it is always wrapped around the truth so as to sneakily disguise itself. May your eyes and ears, hearts and minds, be open to the truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
