Have you ever been through a corn maze before?
Well I have. Let me tell you… It was super fun… Until it wasn’t.
My boyfriend (now husband) and I were in there a little longer than I expected. Every time I thought we’d be at the end, we’d turn into a dead end. The sun started to set. I started to panic.
“What if we don’t make it out before it gets too dark?”
“What if we don’t make it out at all?”
“What if everybody leaves and doesn’t know we’re still stuck in here?”
“What if…”
My boyfriend pulled me out of my panic. He looked at me and said, “It’s okay. We’re going to make it out. I’ve done this exact maze before. I’ll get us out. Just trust me.”
I had a choice to make. Was I going to live in my fear, continuing to panic, and choose not to trust my boyfriend?
Or was I going to have faith that he knew where we were and no matter what would get us out?
Deep breath.
“Okay, I trust you.” I took his hand and he lead me out of the maze not 2 minutes later.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4
In our fear, we have 2 choices: let it consume us, or have faith in the One who will always deliver us.
No matter where we are, what we’re going through, who or what we are facing, God will always keep us safe and deliver us from all evil. All we must do is trust Him.
